Selling at Auction

Duke’s holds a variety of speciality art and antiques sales each year, from ancient Chinese relics to contemporary art, and everything in between.

Our friendly and knowledgeable team are as interested in your objects as you are, and welcome you to get in touch for a no-obligation valuation. There are many convenient ways to do this:

  • Online or over the phone. Regardless of your location we can assist, routinely valuing items from all corners of the globe.
  • In person. Our doors are always open, and with convenient road and rail links we are easy to reach.

If you decide to sell your item, you will be guided through the sale process, from transportation to marketing, by one of our specialist team who will be an expert in the type of item you have, be it a watch or a classic car. 

In order to achieve the best possible sale result, your specialist will advise you on the most suitable auction in order to achieve the best possible result for your item, remaining on hand throughout the process should you have a query. Please find a list of our upcoming auctions here.

There are no upfront charges for our service, but once your item is sold, sellers pay a commission on sale price, Loss damage warranty charge (1.5% of the hammer price per lot) and a £15 online listing charge per item and photography fees, as appropriate. Your specialist will advise you on all charges (including VAT) as part of your consultation.
