DEHUA STANDING FIGURE OF GUANYIN EARLY KANGXI PERIOD the elegant deity with a coronet headdress and flowing robes, standing on a rocky base, 49.5cm high Note: this figure is related to those inventoried in 1718 at Dresden, illustrated in Donnelly, P.J., Blanc de Chine, London 1969, pl.74B; and also those in the 1721 inventory mentioned in the same publication page 338. A near-identical figure at Burghley House is illustrated in Tharp, L., Hogarth's China, London 1997, fig.72; and for another from Hampton Court see Ayers, J., The Blanc de Chine Figure, Transactions of the Oriental Ceramic Society, vol.68 2003-4, fig.2, pg.16, also illustrated in Ayers, The Royal Collection, 2016, no.300.
