BLUE AND WHITE SLENDER BEAKER, SHUNZHI / EARLY KANGXI, the tapering body decorated with foliate-painted stylised crewelwork lotus petals, 15cm high (including associated cover) Provenance: Christie's Amsterdam, 26th March 1980, lot 1556. Note: the form of this beaker may be inspired by a facon de venise glass original. For a similar example in the Groningen Museum described as late Transitional see Volker, T., Porcelain of the Dutch East India Company, Leiden 1954, pl. XI, no.19.
