Lot 349. A SCOTTISH DIRK with a carved wood handle

A SCOTTISH DIRK with a carved wood handle, white metal mounts and leather scabbard, by Andrew Orrock, apprentice cutler in the incorporation of Hammermen in the conglomerate of Edinburgh in 1722, admitted a Freeman in 1733. The blade impressed 'Orrock', mid 18th century, 18", and one other matching Dirk, probably a late 19th century copy of the earlier example.
