A GEORGE II TWO HANDLED IRISH CUP of circular form, with leaf-capped scroll handles and reeded girdle, the body embossed with flowers and leaves, on a circular foot, with a later crest and presentation inscription to each side, one side engraved with the crest of the Perthshire Volunteers, the other side engraved with the inscription "Presented by Mr Savory to the Mess of the 90th Light Infantry on their leaving England for foreign service, March 1857", possibly by James Whitthorne, Dublin 1749, 7.5" high (c.42.1oz).
