A FINE CHINESE "LONGQUAN" CELADON BOWL with an undulating rim and a moulded body with a line of vertical ribbing to the exterior, the interior of the bowl moulded with a flowerhead enclosed by a simple line defined in the glaze, on a finely potted footrim, Song or later, 12cm dia., on a carved hardwood stand. Provenance: Sir Herbert Ingram A gift to John Pritchard, Esq. (1916-1990) and thence to his wife Elaine Pritchard, who bequeathed the bowl to the present vendor. Private collection, Somerset.
