Responsible for the general management of Duke’s, John joined the team in 2002 as a porter before rising through the ranks becoming first saleroom manager at our Grove (now Avenue) saleroom, then progressing to the same position at our Fine Art premises.

Now in his position as Operations Director, John has varied responsibilities ranging from catalogue production and auction presentation through to staff management.

John is also the Head of our Paintings Division. He has a strong interest in Art, with particular focus on 20th century British and American works and catalogues the oil paintings section of Duke’s twice yearly Fine Paintings auctions.
