Insurance & Probate Valuations, Valuations for sale/current market
Michael Roberts joined the team at Duke’s in early 2022, after an 18-year career that’s seen him previously working for auctioneers Canterbury Auction Galleries in Kent, as well as PFK and Mitchells in the Lake District.
Working the literal length and breadth of the country, in a wide variety of settings and circumstances, has given him valuable insight and experience into how best to serve clients.
Tact, empathy and professionalism are universal valuation requirements and you can rely on Michael to handle your needs sensitively and appropriately.
A general valuer and auctioneer (with a penchant for silver, antique rugs, carpets and books), Michael conducts a large proportion of our home visits and sells a large proportion of the goods we handle too.
He’s driven by achieving that twin success – both helping clients in often difficult logistical and emotional situations and finding those rare and valuable treasures that get collector’s hearts racing!
His career highlight to date is the sale of the contents of Greystoke Castle, near Penrith, which grossed £260k and included a fine George Romney oil portrait.
