FIVE BATTLE BAR QSA WITH EPHEMERA TO 79375 GNR C J TREVETT G BTY RHA: Correctly impressed -79375 GNR C J Trevett G BTY RHA, Clasps - Relief of Kimberley : Paardeberg : Driefontein : Johannesburg: Diamond Hill. Condition GVF Charles James Trevett was born in Broad Mayne, Dorchester in 1872. He attested aged eighteen in 1900, giving his occupation as Labourer. He served in The Boer War with G battery Royal Horse Artillery. Trevett was in South Africa from 3rd November 1899 to 18th October 1900. Awarded the Queens South Africa Medal and discharged 28th May 1902. The group comes with a Soldiers New Testament South Africa 1901: Silver Sober Medal: Boer War Tin with remnants of Tobacco and Chocolate: A poem entitled the soldiers dream, possibly written by him. The group also come with a non-casualty pair to Pair to 6207 Pte R Hardy Dorset R. With WW2 War Medal and part of the box
