Duke's are delighted to offer a distinguished Private Dorset Family Collection of important 20th Century British Art as part of this Art & Design post 1880 auction.
Scholarly formed over generations, the collection features a range of prints and ceramics by John Piper, Bloomsbury and Studio ceramics, and a wide variety of works by noted artists such as Henri Gaudier-Brzeska, Gilbert Spencer and Edward McKnight Kauffer.
Also featured are works by Edward Wolfe RA, who was instrumental in helping to form this collection, including a powerful still life study by Sir Matthew Smith (lot 224).
